I promised to make another tutorial about the acrylic pouring technique which includes spreading and swiping. Please make sure you have also read the basics in my tutorial part I and watched the video about the mixing of your colours in my tutorial part II . Watch the video ! In my new tutorial I show you how to create a massive amount of cells in your painting by using the swiping technique. It's pretty simple. I just use some kitchen towel for the swiping. After posting my acrylic pouring tutorial on this blog I got asked many questions about my art. One of them was about the mixing of the paint and additives. How much Floetrol do I use? Do I use water and how much? What about the silicone oil? Therefore I made this short video just to show you just one of the many possibilities you have while using this technique. It's helpful to know the basics, some of it is just physics and chemics but don't loose your creativity on overthinking everything. Most of it is experimenting and feeling. Sometimes you just have to do it. I can't give you a detailed recipe for my pouring colours because I don't exactly measure them. Watch the video to get a feeling how it can be done. Now that I gained some experience with the acrylic pouring technique I hope I can give you some advice if you want to try it out for yourselves and avoid the mistakes I made.
