This brand new painting took a huge amount of time and materials, it's actually the biggest one I've ever made. A dear friend of mine ordered the painting customized. We thought about it and planned it together and now it's finally finished. It's a triple multi-paneled painting, each canvas is 100x60x4cm in size. I seem to have a special talent - I paint impossible things without even knowing it. I painted < butterfly effect > and after I finished the painting I searched the internet for a title. I wanted to give it the name of a violet butterfly just to realize that there actually are no violet butterflies - not really.  Ich habe scheinbar ein besonderes Talent - ich male unmögliche Dinge, ohne das überhaupt zu wissen. < butterfly effect > ist ein Bild, das ich erst beendet habe und danach im Internet nach einem Titel suchte. Ich wollte dem Bild den Namen eines violetten Schmetterlings geben, nur um dann festzustellen, dass es gar keine violetten Schmetterlinge gibt. Jedenfalls nicht wirklich. Did you know that there are no blue tulips? Me neither. Blue is the only colour that no tulip has ever had, there are "almost blue" tulips which are actually purple or violet. But none of them is blue. So I couldn't give my new painting the name of a blue tulip. ...

Pride month is almost over this year and I think it's time to share my recent pride-themed artwork. Another one is about to join this soon. I made this painting (as usual) using the  acrylic pouring technique  but I also used the swiping. I'm thinking about a new tutorial for the swiping technique but today I want to speak about a whole different thing. Summer is coming and I'd love to be at the beach right now. Sadly Eastern Germany doesn't have a seashore, a coast or a real beach so I had to create my own one. I did this artworks by using the  acrylic pouring technique  and swiping with a simple kitchen towel. Swiping lets you create cells at places where you really want them, they open up at the point where you swipe the fluid paint. You have much more control over the outcome of your painting. Endlich kommt der Sommer, und eigentlich wäre ich jetzt am liebsten am Strand. Leider gibt's in Ostdeutschland keine Küsten, Meere oder richtige Strände, deshalb musste ich eben einfach meinen eigenen machen. Dieses Artwork habe ich wieder mit der  Acrylgieß-Technik  gemacht und mit einem einfach Küchentuch darüber gestrichen. Durch das Verstreichen entstehen Zellen genau an der Stelle, wo man sie haben will in der feuchten Farbe. Man hat also wesentlich mehr Kontrolle über das Endergebnis des Bildes. I wanted...

My customized painting <spindrift> is now finished with a long drying time and a matte varnish coat. I love to experiment with the  acrylic pouring technique  so this time I did something new. I covered the canvas in a single layer liquid white and ivory paint and started adding green shades afterwards. With swiping and swirling the canvas around I could make these blurry green surface that looks like the reflection of trees in the water. That's why I called it <reflections> Ich liebe es, mit der  Acrylgieß-Technik  herum zu experimentieren, also habe ich diesmal etwas Neues ausprobiert. Zuerst habe ich die Leinwand mit einer flüssigen Schicht aus Farbe (elfenbein, weiß) bedeckt und anschließend die grünen Nuancen darauf gegossen. Durch das Drehen und Wenden der Leinwand konnte ich einen ganz interessanten Effekt erzielen. Die grünen Flächen sehen jetzt aus wie Bäume und ihre Reflexion im Wasser. A very nice customer from Sweden just told me he really liked  immersion  and  blue marble  and that he would like to buy one of these. I sent him more photos of these paintings and offered him a customized painting if he'd like. I'm feeling like a djinn now granting wishes while working at his painting. I really hope he will like it. Cockaigne is know a the mythical land where milk and honey flow in rivers, where lollipops and candy grow out of the grass and freshly cooked doves fly directly into your mouth. What can be more tempting than that imagination? The answer is simple - chocolate. Is there anything better than chocolate? Actually there is - it's molten chocolate! My personal Cockaigne definitely has a huge chocolate fountain to be sure. Streams of chocolate are also the primary theme of my latest artwork. It's made with the  acrylic pouring technique  but this time I painted an opaque background first and added the fluid paint right after. The outcome is a flowing, yummy-looking chocolate stream that makes me hungry. Watch out for the final results coming soon. I recently had the idea to combine the trees from my  roots  artworks with the  acrylic pouring  passion I developed in the last weeks. So I started with the background, added the foreground (look here ) and after a huge drying time of a few days I painted the trees and final accents by hand. I wanted the painting to be very dynamic so I made this very whirly and turbulent background and the trees that are bended before the uprising storm. <sandstorm> will soon be available in my Etsy store. Since I really adored the colours of my  <butterfly effect>  I decided to do this combination once more - but much bigger. Thanks to a good friend of mine I came to possess some really nice pieces of canvas sized 80x60cm and 4cm of height. The amount of paint I had to use for this one was huge but it was worth it. Die Farben in einem meiner letzten Artworks  <butterfly effect>  haben mich fasziniert, deshalb habe ich beschlossen, genau diese Farbkombination einfach nochmal zu machen - aber diesmal größer. Dank einer guten Freundin besitze ich jetzt einige sehr schöne Leinwände, die 80x60cm groß sind und sogar 4cm dick.
