turquoise



I really like the combination of rich chocolate-like brown shades and warm turquoise. Since I'm really into round shaped canvas and pouring acrylic paintings right now I just wanted to try out this beautiful combination. It worked quite well and even dried quickly in the warm April sun yesterday.

I used Floetrol and silicone oil to get a better flow but I still want more and bigger cells in my paintings. Any suggestions?

Ich stehe ja total auf die Kombination von kräftigen Schokobraun-Tönen und einem warmen Türkis. Da ich momentan von runden Leinwänden und der Acryl-Gießtechnik völlig begeistert bin, wollte ich diese schöne Farbkombination auch einfach mal ausprobieren. Das hat ziemlich gut geklappt, und es ist danke der warmen Aprilsonne sogar ziemlich schnell getrocknet.

Für einen besseren Farbfluss habe ich Floetrol und Silikonöl benutzt, ich will aber immernoch größere Zellen in meine Bilder bringen. Irgendwelche Vorschläge?

I promised to make another tutorial about the acrylic pouring technique which includes spreading and swiping. Please make sure you have also read the basics in my tutorial part I and watched the video about the mixing of your colours in my tutorial part II . Watch the video ! In my new tutorial I show you how to create a massive amount of cells in your painting by using the swiping technique. It's pretty simple. I just use some kitchen towel for the swiping. acrylic pouring tutorial part II / Anleitung zum Acrylgießen Teil II

After posting my acrylic pouring tutorial on this blog I got asked many questions about my art. One of them was about the mixing of the paint and additives. How much Floetrol do I use? Do I use water and how much? What about the silicone oil? Therefore I made this short video just to show you just one of the many possibilities you have while using this technique. It's helpful to know the basics, some of it is just physics and chemics but don't loose your creativity on overthinking everything. Most of it is experimenting and feeling. Sometimes you just have to do it. I can't give you a detailed recipe for my pouring colours because I don't exactly measure them. Watch the video to get a feeling how it can be done.
